A light shoe or slipper, with the heel and much of its associated uppers missing. The face of the surviving uppers is decorated with extensive openwork and ornamental stitching. Also con- served and reconstructed by Mr Williamson (Fig. 9) (76 K 124; Site G, - 13-O/1-2).

S. Leatherwork
Alongside many scraps of leather and fragments
of shoes, the following items are noteworthy: S16. S12. Silver buckle found in association with
elements of a shoe, to which it is pre- S18. sumably related (76 K 78; Site G,
- 11-O/O-5) (Fig. 8).
S13. Elements of a leather boot, sole and heel complete, but with only scraps of the uppers. Its sea-bed situation is shown in Price & Muckelroy (1977: fig. 9). Now conserved and reconstructed by
