Figure 9. The wave has broken over the vessel. the A-frame can just be seen protruding from the wave. This incident took place nearly lOOm further out to sea than normal while observing lhe swell behaviour. The vessel was not et tUlchor and was able to head towards the breaking wave and thus avoid an almost certain disaster.
