Barrel, possibly F6 from 2001. Timbers in trench look like ceiling / floor timbers. Towards E (starboard) one has sprung allowing thickness measurement of 70mm. Moving E it’s possible to track these floor timbers on surface under concretion, then the barrel (2001 F6?), then to the outside of the ship at CP22. The huge timber going across the vessel sticking out of the section may be a rider. It has a top size of 330mm (top) x 320mm (thickness).
On the outboard port side, under the ship, there are holes in the remaining timbers after sacrificial outer pine cladding / sheathing has fallen off, some still ‘hanging’.

Alex set up new datum – CP24 - N of CP21, on port side structure. Videoed this. Surveyed in datum. Videoed under structure (port side) exposed at Monica’s trench S side. Thick barrel stave & rope amongst exposed stuff to S of Monica’s trench. Timber underneath with rebates – 70mm thick, 400mm wide, rebates 60mm. Holes in outer planking from sacrificial layer. Recovered two-thirds complete wine bottle from beside stem of gun nearest to CP2. Picked up 2 coins in ingot area.
