 Explanatory notes 1740-50:
According to res. Heren 17 of 11.3.1750, fl 2,933,834 of this amount was still to be dispatched. The chambers were given explicit permission
to make changes in the ratio between Mexicanen and ducatoons. The 1744 division conforms to the demand; neither in the resolution, nor
in the letters of the Heren 17 has this division been found, nor has a specification been found in the res. of G.G. en R.; there is only a
statement that reals and payement are most in demand. The unspecified amount in 1741 went in 'coarse' silver, bars, reals or ducatoons.
Explanatory notes 1750-60:
According to res. Heren 17 of 26.3.1760 (in V O C 174) a sum of fl 2,343,533 was still to be dispatched. In October 1760 there were still
arrears of fl 636,391 (VOC 175, res. Heren 17, 4.10.1760). From the resolution of 1754 onwards there is mention of new milled ducats and
ducatoons. The markrealen are destined for China, sometimes Mexicanen are mentioned here too.
