Casual Linen Shirts
Although we are renowned for making classic shirts, we realise that “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. With this in mind Budd has introduced a new range of linen shirts to
our collection. We have sourced the finest raw flax from Belgium. This is shipped to one of the last mills in Northern Ireland, where the yarn is spun and woven for us. The linen is then washed in the soft water that the country is known for.
Each season we introduce new colours to our collection, whilst retaining our exclusive ‘Budd Blue’, a firm favourite with many of our clients. The straight-bottomed hem, side vents, breast pocket and loose cut make our linen shirts ideal
for the weekend and holidays. Linen is a wonderful fabric to wear in all weathers and its ability to breathe make it ideal for warmer climes. We find that, like a fine wine, linen improves with age; softening and fading in a most pleasing way.
The buttons on these shirts are made from Corozo, which has a natural grain running through it, making each button unique. They are made from the seeds of fruit from the Tanga tree, native to Equador. The fruits are picked up from where they have fallen and the manufacturing process is not only eco friendly but provides valuable support to the local economy.
