The Shop
Budd Shirtmakers has been located in the Piccadilly Arcade since we opened in 1910. It forms part of an elegant thoroughfare of shops that lead into Jermyn Street.
First and foremost, Budd makes beautiful shirts.
We are proud to claim that they are handmade at our factory in Andover, Hampshire. We are one of the few West End shirtmakers still to have a cutting room on our premises. This is located above the shop and has presided over the Arcade for over one hundred years.
Our tiny shop is a treasure trove of delights for the discerning gentleman. Budd stocks an extensive collection of dress wear as well as ties, bow ties, braces, underwear and socks. Our range of night attire includes dressing gowns, pyjamas and our ever popular nightshirts.
We are passionate about celebrating and supporting British craftsmanship and the majority of our products are made in Great Britain. We endeavour to stock accessories that are often difficult to find, such as waistcoat slips, stiff bibbed shirts, detachable collars, sock suspenders and the softest chamois gloves.
Our ethos is simple – our customer’s individuality and taste matters to us. We endeavour to make and sell only the finest shirts and gentlemen’s accessories, all coupled with experienced advice from our welcoming and friendly staff.
