April 23-29: The new 2500 Miles of Arts & Culture Tour showcases points of interest in Douglas and Ozark counties with planned activities. The schedule includes a Civil War sites tour; interpretive hikes on the Mark Twain National Forest Glade Top Trail; an eques- trian trail ride (BYO); and tours of an elk ranch, local  sheries and mills, and a local grow- ers’ market. Activities include storytelling, a local genealogy workshop, art guild and historical museum exhibits, and on Sunday, an “Old Fashioned Social on the Square” with food, music, antique cars and heritage handcraft demonstrators.
