On the Cover
to Ozarks magazine. is is the rst edition of our new quarterly publication designed to
present good news and fun things to do in the beautiful Ozarks. We hope to bring you many, many more editions in the future.
Our cover story features a southern Missouri rainbow trout and game ranch located in the small town of Rockbridge. Our cover photo by Allison Wilson shows Pablo Sanchez, a Rockbridge Rainbow Trout and Game Ranch guide, casting a line. Fishermen come to Rockbridge all year long to catch the hard- ghting rainbow trout in Spring Creek. Rainbow trout ranch owner Ray Amyx started the trout hatchery there in 1954. In this issue we also feature the Harrison, Ark. Crawdad Days Festival as well as the Old-Time Music, and Heritage Festival in West Plains, Mo. Branson is cranking up for an exciting year, as well. We will be including more news from the Branson attractions in future editions.
We hope you enjoy reading Ozarks magazine. We will continue to provide ideas for exciting day trips and destinations around southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. We will do feature stories about colorful characters and interesting people around the hills. Hopefully, you will discover something you didn’t know about or a new area worth exploring.
