Event Overview
The inaugural MLB Players Golf Classic will take place over two days, and feature current and former major- league baseball players competing for prize money. Finally, there will be an official venue to settle the conversations over the years in Clubhouses, and dugouts as to which ball player is the best golfer.
The first day will feature a Pro-Am format with current players and legends of the game. Amateur golfers will have the opportunity to play alongside Hall of Famers and current players from their favorite teams, who will be competing for the title of “Best Legend Ballplayer”. This will also serve as the first day of competition
for the players participating in the MLB Players Golf Classic.
In the evening, sponsors and guests will attend cocktail and dinner receptions to mingle with the past and present baseball stars, which will feature silent and live auctions.
The second day will feature day 2 of tournament competition with a playing field consisting of 40 legends and current players, competing in a strokeplay format for the title of “Best Golfer in the MLB”.
Negotiations are taking place to have a broadcast network on site to host shows and film feature segments with the competing players, and baseball personalities in attendance. There is the potential to livestream the event to several content providers.
