ASEPTOMAN® is an alcohol-based hand sanitizer to be rubbed into the skin. ASEPTOMAN® contains the refatting agent lanolin, thus ensuring a smooth skin feeling. A pleasant odor due to the perfume, fast drying and refatting properties promote a good hand hygiene compliance.

Indications for hygienic hand disinfection
Hand disinfection is always required when contamination of the hands with potentially pathogenic germs has taken place or is likely to have taken place:
1. before and after touching patients
2. before and after any contact with wounds
3. before aseptic procedures
4. after removing protective gloves
5. after contact with potentially infectious objects and materials, such as blood and other body luids
The latter would require hand disinfection on leaving any patient’s room as
it cannot be ruled out that a contamination of the hands has taken place through the contact with surfaces near patients.
