“Zebra cross a huge distance around 500miles to get to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, to spend around 5 months of the year in the area. They come to give birth and soak in the salt and minerals from the waters, as the Delta where they are the rest of the year, is devoid of minerals. The area is flat and hot and while flying over capturing the migration, at times it was hard to believe we were not in the clouds ourselves with the incredible reflections. We filmed these migrations a few times once for National Geographic’s Great Migration film series and more recently for the Okavango River of Dreams series.” -BEVERLY JOUBERT
