Descriptions for solder/braze access valves specify the connecting tube OD Size and type fit illustrated are examples of the types of fit for an A31723 valve The connecting line slips around access fitting; refer to AC/R Copper Tube Fitting Guide and Connecting Tube Size table
There are two types of ODF fit—external tube fit and swage fit JB access valve descriptions for ODF refer to swage fit The connecting tube OD is the same OD as the fitting end Therefore, the A31723 example above will also slip into 5/16" OD tube If connecting to wrot copper fitting, use ODF swage size
