As we celebrate 50 years of serving the HVAC/R industry, we are reminded that our success is built upon a foundation of commitment to core values—quality manufacturing, valued employees, and providing outstanding service to our customers.
It is the colorful history of JB Industries, typical of so many American small companies, that we reflect on during this 50 year celebration. From its inception in 1967 when JB was founded by Greg Brinda and Stan Jarrow, JB has been a market leader with strong brand recognition. The newly founded JB Industries became a leader in access valves and fittings and continued distributing Jarrow gaskets. JB also launched the patented M2 manifold with its innovative, free floating o-ring sealing system. In the late 1970’s,
JB introduced the first direct drive pump and the JB name became synonymous with vacuum pumps. Under the leadership of Greg Brinda, Ron Hill, Sr., and Lee Larsen, the JB brand meant product innovation, quality Made in America products, and on-time delivery.
In 1981, JB Industries moved its manufacturing and headquarters within Aurora, Illinois. This move rescued a historical manufacturing site that dated back to the 1890’s and allowed JB to expand it production areas. In 2006, JB was relaunched under the direction of the new and current owners Ron Hill, Jr. and Jeff Cherif. Over the last decade, JB has received numerous accolades and industry design awards for the ongoing development of quality, innovative products. JB has also invested heavily in bringing more production in-house and never moving away from its core principals. JB continues to reinforce ease-to-do business and increased partnership with its customers in accordance with our original mantras.
JB’s history is rich in manufacturing excellence and a commitment to investing in the improvement of our facility, processes, and people—and our future will continue to support the JB motto of providing quality American made, Just Better products. In the years ahead, JB’s success will depend upon our ability to remain innovative and competitive to meet the challenges of the markets we serve. While we have come
a long way, our work is not done, and we will continue to strive to exceed customer expectations.
We are excited and eager to meet the challenges ahead, and our passion and commitment to excellence will remain the foundation of our next 50 years. As we celebrate, we say “Thank You” to the loyal customers, hard-working employees, sales representatives, vendors, and distributors who have made us the industry leader we are today. We look forward to 2017 with optimism and the hope that it will be a memorable year for all.
