Don’t be afraid of it. Use space creatively to lead the eye.
In every well done image there is a path the eye travels. A photographer with exceptional compositional skills will be able to guide their veiwers eye and most viewers won’t realize they are being led through a visual journey at all.
In this image to the left we see our eyes are drawn to the model’s face, from there our eyes are drawn downwards , around her shoulder and travel up to the hand which is resting on her face. Creating a seemless, restful path for the eye to take in the image.
