Well, that was a rather strange but wonderful summer! Summer 2020 was extraordinary and will certainly be a time to remember, a time that we pulled together as a community and turned an uncertain and negative situation into a positive one. We stuck our boots on, grabbed the family, the dog, packed a picnic and shared our experiences. We took pride in showing off our pictures and helped each other with information and recommendations. We pushed any limitations aside to exploreourbeautifulcountry.Weareahardylot! Iam sure you will agree with me, it has been amazing to rediscover our home turf. We are so lucky to live here.
picNIc led the way and offered a motivational and social platformforourcommunityto‘crackon’. Theproofwas in the pudding with over 25,000 Member posts and comments of adventures proved ‘great craic’ was had by all! Ok,wemissedourluxuriousholidaysabroad,inthe sun with our Pina Coladas but we have proven that staying at home in Northern Ireland was ‘spot on’ and keptthemoneyinthebank! YouwillagreethatNorthern Ireland has so much to offer, with so many places that have been well loved over the Summer of 2020.
As a result of the huge popularity of the group and significant increase in membership over the summer, the vision and direction of the group organically changed. A new brand name was created to represent a wider audience and diverse business community.
NO PLACE like OUR PLACE (Northern Ireland) will continue to offer a community platform for our members. This will help them explore, engage and experience all that Northern Ireland has to offer whilst supporting local businesses in the Hospitality, Entertainment, Recreation, Cultural, and Creative Industries.
