Candle magic is one of the simplest forms of spellcasting, it doesn’t require a lot of fancy ritual or ceremonial tools so it's perfect for beginners or for a quick spell when you don't have the time or space to do a whole ritual.
You should always use a brand new candle for spell work and not candles that you burned at, say, the dinner table or in the bathroom the day before.
According to some magical traditions, a candle picks up vibrations from the items around it once it starts to burn.
If a used candle is already tainted by vibrations, some people believe it will lead to a negative or ineffective magical outcome.
Items you will need:
Sealable Container
• Sprinkle of Dried Basil
• Sprinkle of Dried Ground
Cinnamon or Cloves
• Sprinkle of Dried Mint
• Small Dish of Sunflower Oil
• 1 Green Candle
• 1 Green Aventurine Crystal
• Your bank account information
(the number written on paper or statement will do). If you are a business owner, you may also use one of your business cards.
Gather your supplies and ingredients and bring them to your altar/sacred space.
Cleanse the space, candle
& crystal with your favourite method.
Ground & centre yourself.
Charge each herb to add more power to your spell.
Step by Step
Take the Mint in your palms and say the following:
By the power of Earth, Air, Fire and Water,
By the Power of the Sun, Moon and Stars,
I charge you Mint,
to Bring me Wealth and Abundance from this spell
Take the Basil in your palms and say the following:
By the power of Earth, Air, Fire and Water,
By the Power of the Sun, Moon and Stars,
I charge you Basil,
to Bring Luck & Success to this spell
