This month, we spent a bit of time getting to know James from Hutchison Landscapes. He told us about his time with the business, as well as some of his highlights!
Name three things you always have in your toolkit. Why are they there?
Pressure washer, Radio, Sealants. Well, the majority of our work is reviving old driveways so we definitely need the pressure washer for that, we also love to listen to a bit of smooth radio too whilst sealing either block paving, tarmac or imprinted concrete
What top tips would you give to people, to help them care for their patio or driveway?
Having your driveway or patio Sealed. This will help protect your surfaces for years to come and prevent weed growth.
Can you tell us about one job you’re really proud of?
Our most recent Patio restoration job in Chester-le- Street. We cleaned it, re-bedded 30 loose flags and finally re-pointed it. It looked like a brand new patio again when we finished!
What’s your favourite part of the job?
The transformations that
we create, and seeing our customers’ faces at the end of the job.
Do you have a favourite place to work? Where is it and why?
Anywhere near the Arnison Centre, as the food choice is pretty good for dinnertime.
