Shortly afterwards Mig kept us in it as he saved well from Cisse. We were closing them down effectively and putting a lot more effort into it just as we'd done in the first- half last week.
Graham Courtney, the touchline reporter, said that it was the best he'd seen us play all season so with half an hour gone the sun was still shining in West London and all was right with the world. With about ten minutes to the break Rose was perhaps fortunate only to receive a yellow when he went in on Debuchy with his studs showing. Graham continued to receive a lot of praise, especially from Micky Gray, and he was clearly having his best match for us, fighting for the ball in midfield and having a couple of decent goalscoring chances. Cuellar had a good header from a Seb corner that Krul managed to save well. With a few minutes to the break Cisse was very lucky not to get a red card for a dirty tackle on Bardo. In stoppage-time Seb cleared off the line to keep us ahead and then Stephen Taylor fouled Mig and was also yellow-carded, putting them 3-1 ahead in that department. At the break it remained 1-0 to us and we'd played well, giving them little chance to get their game flowing. Micky Gray, who of course was hardly being a
