Memories of the Late Sixties-Early Seventies
On 27th December 1969 I was at the home match against Man United with my mate Col. We were struggling in Division One as usual but there was a crowd of thirty-six thousand, though it seemed much bigger than that from
where we were standing in the Fulwell End. There were many girls there hoping to get a good eyeful of George Best and this added an exciting new element to the crowd.
