Hi everyone!
Hope we are all keeping busy with new bookings, as the market seems very buoyant again, which is great to see!
A lot of you would have seen me pop into your shops during the last few weeks as I have been doing some promotional visits for Flexireps on behalf of Princess Cruises. I have
to admit, I didn’t really know a whole lot about them until they trained us on their product. I was very impressed - especially with the Medallion Class app that they have developed. It speeds you through check-in and gets you onboard to enjoy the ship in record time.
You can book one of the fabulous specialty restaurants via the app too and you also get a small medallion on a lanyard (or you can pay extra and get it as a watch!). This allows you to order drinks from your sunbed as it is GPS enabled - they know exactly where you are sitting to bring the drinks over too. You can find others travelling with you and best of all, it even opens your cabin door without you touching it... modern technology eh, never ceases to amaze me!
Their ships are medium size and with some fabulous itineraries. Whilst I was in an agent’s shop, a customer wanted a cruise from Los Angeles to Hawaii, Fiji and New Zealand and guess what... they had the exact itinerary! They also have good availability for the Mediterranean for the rest of so definitely worth giving them a look.
July means one thing to me... The Yorkie Ball! Sandy has been organising this event for over 22 years now and it is my second favourite event in the industry... obviously the Graftas and GB are the main events! It’s always great to catch up with our Yorkshire friends and with about 200 agents and suppliers attending, it’s a great atmosphere in a great location. So well done Sandy - really looking forward to seeing you all on the 21st!
For the next couple of months I am out on the road again for Flexireps - this time representing Major Travel - so hopefully will be seeing you all soon.
Until then, happy selling,
Darren
