MARIPOSA NAMED FINALIST IN
USA TODAY TRAVEL AWARD
In January, Mariposa in Yosemite Mariposa County, was named as one of 20 finalists for the 2023 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice travel awards in the category of Best Small-Town Cultural Scene for a second year in a row.
To be considered for the award, a town must have fewer than 25,000 residents, with outstanding museums, art galleries, performing arts and a variety of local events.
Visitors to the charming town will find a redeveloped Welcome Centre, set to open this spring.
Located near the recently expanded Yosemite Village parking area, the $10.4 million project will include a Village Store, NPS rangers and Yosemite Conservancy volunteers for advice on the best things to do and to see. Outside, a plaza will provide seating, interpretive materials and maps that will be available 24 hours
a day.

IN NEW SMYRNA BEACH
Victoria 1883 is a brand-new luxury guesthouse and wedding venue, opened in October last year in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Located in a waterfront location overlooking the Indian River, Victoria 1883 was originally built around 1883 and the main house is the longest standing structure in the district.
Guests can enjoy bed and breakfast in seven, individually themed rooms and suites as well as enjoy the outdoor gardens, a speakeasy and wedding venue.

SEAWORLD ORLANDO, PIPELINE:
THE SURF COASTER SET TO OPEN
This spring will see the opening of SeaWorld Orlando’s newest roller coaster, ‘Pipeline: The Surf Coaster’.
This attraction is the world’s first “Surf Coaster” with the ‘Pipeline’ taking riders through the waves up to heights of 110- feet in the air, feeling like they are about to wipe out when they go upside down on a wave curl along the 2,950-feet of track.
Reaching max speeds of 60-miles-per-hour, with five different airtime moments and lasting a total of 1 minute and 50 seconds, the ‘Pipeline’ will definitely take visitors to new heights.
