TAKE A TOUR ON A SEAPLANE
Gulf Island Seaplanes, the Indigenous seaplane flight operator, has expanded their flights, now offering daily service from Vancouver Harbour in addition to their other main
base at Gabriola Island.
The fleet landing into Vancouver Harbour includes two Beavers, carrying five passengers and a Caravan, with a capacity of nine passengers.
The seaplanes are wrapped with artwork by Tom Spetter at Animikii, featuring a thunderbird, a lightning snake and a face representing
its passengers.
Allowing visitors a window seat on every flight, Gulf Island Seaplanes offers sightseeing tours ranging from minutes to minutes, flying around the city centre and mountain vistas. By spring 2023, visitors can also enjoy cultural scenic flights to learn more about the area’s rich history
and culture.
SCENIC UNVEILS NEW PROGRAMME OF LAND JOURNEYS FOR 2023
Luxury cruise operator, Scenic has announced its new 2023 programme of land journeys across Canada, Alaska and
the USA. Featuring two new shore excursions as part of
the operators ‘Scenic Enrich’ programme, guests can discover Okanagan in Canada and explore the sights and flavours of the Canadian Rockies.

made before 30th September 2022. Highlights of the new 2023 programme include the Icons of Western Canada and Alaskan land journey and cruise.
This 23-day land journey and cruise, departs from Victoria (Canada) and includes a trip with local black bear expert, Michael Allen in Whistler as well as a star gazing session - Dark Sky experience - in the Rockies, experiencing the clear dark sky from the mountains.
The tour also includes a drive along the Icefields Parkway to Athabasca Glacier to watch the sunrise in the mountains at Lake Louise and enjoy wildlife spotting in Banff. Guests will then cross the Capilano Suspension Bridge on an exclusive crossing before cruising up to Juneau, Alaska’s
state capital.
Other stops include Butchart Gardens, Whistler, Sun Peaks, Jasper, Kamloops, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan and Vancouver. Prices start from £9,895 per person departing 14th April 2023.
Alternatively, clients can head east across Canada to the Big Apple on the 21-day Eastern Canada and USA Explorer itinerary. Departing from Montréal, guests will learn how maple syrup is made before heading to the Parc Omega to discover the incredible wildlife.
The tour also includes a visit to Niagara Falls, where guests can choose to Journey Behind the Falls Experience and enjoy dinner only steps from the brink of the Horseshoe Falls.
