EASYJET HOLIDAYS ADDS MORE FREE CHILD PLACES
easyJet holidays has added thousands more free child places for summer 2023.
The tour operator is now offering free child places on over 200 hotels for next summer, with holidays priced from £377 per person on a variety of holidays and destinations - from Turkey, to Spain and Greece, which sees an additional 40 hotels offering great value for families.
Paul Bixby, easyJet holidays’ Commercial Director, said:
“As the weather starts to cool and children return to school, we’re seeing an increase in families booking ahead to next summer, making the most of the great value we offer and getting something in the diary to look forward to."
easyJet holidays has appointed Kelly Walker as new Head of Distribution to lead its travel trade partnership division.
Previously with James Villas, Kelly Walker will lead the easyJet holidays in- house distribution team which, with the help of more than 3,000 agents, has played a significant role in its growth.
The tour operator continues to support its relationship with the trade, with the extension of its ONEADULT promo code for another year, a training roadshow across the UK underway and more FAM trips in planning.
EMIRATES CELEBRATE 15 YEARS AT NEWCASTLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
This September marks 15 years since Emirates commenced flying from Newcastle International Airport to Dubai.
Emirates’ Dubai service has carried more than 2.5 million passengers to and from the region since 2007. Initially operating a daily flight utilising an A aircraft, the airline upgraded the service during 2012 to a larger Emirates’ wide- body Boeing aircraft, fitted in a two-class configuration split between Business and Economy.
Since restarting in October 2021, Emirates has returned
to a five weekly service, operating on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, departing Newcastle at 21:10 and arriving into Dubai at 07:25 the following day.
At the end of October , the flight will be moving to an earlier departure time of 13:00, arriving into Dubai at 00:15 the following day, making it easier for North East passengers to connect to long-haul destinations including Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and the Indian Ocean.

FLY FROM ABERDEEN TO OSLO WITH LOGANAIR
This month has seen the launch of Loganair’s direct flights from Aberdeen to Oslo.
The airline will operate six flights per week to Oslo Gardermoen Airport from Sunday-Friday, with fares starting from £79 one-way.
The year-round link between Aberdeen and the Norwegian capital will be operated by Loganair’s 49-seat Embraer Regional Jet aircraft, with weekday flights leaving Aberdeen at 08:30 and arriving in Oslo at 11:05 local time. The westbound flight will depart Oslo at : local time and arrive in Aberdeen at 12:20.
Sunday flights will depart Aberdeen at the later time of : and leave Oslo at 16:40 local time, enabling both leisure and business travellers to make the most of their weekend.
The route from Aberdeen to Oslo is Loganair’s latest international Norwegian connection this year, following the revival of flights from Edinburgh to Bergen and Stavanger in June following the pandemic.
