How much does the carnival cost?
Entry to the carnival is completely free, and this year we even have a number of free activities on the go, so there’s something for everyone!
What attractions can I expect at the weekend?
At the carnival, expect to see the free human torch, a free TV stunt team show, a north east debut, the amazing exploding coffin, a free Motorcycle display and back by popular demand, Monster Truck rides.
Will there be fairground rides?
Yes! You can expect to see Carnival Funfair’s gigantic fairground, featuring a continental Ferris Wheel, Victorian Vintage Carousel and the massive Star Flyer ride which recently appeared at Edinburgh Hogmanay!
Will food and drink be available?
Of course! We have a World food court cooking a full range of culinary delights and an all day bar presented from a London route master bus!
Will there be an all day bar?
Not only one but two built on vintage routmaster London buses.
When and where does the carnival start?
The action starts at 11.am on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of September, in
Hackworth Park Central Parade Shildon DL4 1DL.
