Next Generation
Created over 25 years ago, The Next Generation was built to feed into our main society, Whitley Bay Operatic Society. Many of the people involved in tonight’s performance learned their skill and found a passion for Musical Theatre by being part of The Next
Generation themselves.
The Next Generation is a fantastic way for children aged 8-16 to get involved in Musical Theatre, but it doesn’t stop there. We build confidence and teach many skills which can be used throughout life not only in a theatre environment, the children make friendships
within this group which can last a lifetime.
Every year we perform two shows, one full blown musical in the summer and the other created in line with what the cast are enjoying in theatre at the time to create a showcase
of acting, singing and dancing.
We charge £30 show fee for our winter show and £50 show fee for our summer showstopper. We are currently based at Seaton Delaval Arts Centre where we will be
performing a musical showcase on December 20th.
