Join multi-award-winning stand-up comic Sofie Hagen at the stunning ARC in Stockton on Friday 16th September for a rollercoaster evening of belly laughs. Sofie has been a regular on the UK comedy and festival circuit for the past decade since relocating to London from her native Denmark. With a successful stand-up career under her belt, Sofie is also an author, podcaster, fashion designer and fat acceptance campaigner with a huge social media following and is very much in-demand as a public speaker. In 2015, Sofie won the Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Festival with her debut show entitled, ‘Bubblewrap’. She heads to Stockton this time around with her new show, ‘Fat Jokes’. During her critically acclaimed live shows, she has put her own spin on a variety of topics, including everything from bullying and self-worth to feminism and Hitler’s invasion of Denmark. Expect an evening of hilarious storytelling and anecdotes, drawing on her experiences as a Dane living in the UK. Also, expect a whole bunch of fat jokes delivered in her unique, wry comedy style.
