WAR VETERAN TO JOIN FRED. OLSEN’S SOUTH AMERICA CRUISE
War veteran, Simon Weston CBE, will join Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Balmoral in 2023 when the ship visits the Falkland Islands as part of
its 78-night South American and Antarctic voyage.
Well-known for his charity work,
as a motivational speaker and
broadcaster after he sustained
serious burns to over 46% of his
body during the Falklands War
in 1982, Simon will join guests onboard for 14-nights during the call into Port Stanley and will share his experiences of his time in the Falklands.
Setting sail from Southampton on 5th January 2023, Balmoral’s 78-night voyage will visit
the Galapagos and Patagonian Fjords, as well as Rio De Janeiro and the ancient sites of Machu Picchu.
Solo travellers can enjoy a twin cabin with no single supplement on selected grades and sailings in 2022 or 2023 with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
The offer includes voyages to the Azores, the Canary Islands or scenic sailings of the River Seine. Durations range from four to 19-nights, with regional departures from Liverpool, Dover, London Tilbury, Portsmouth and Southampton.
The offer is applicable to new bookings made by 􏰀􏰁st August 2022 inclusive, on selected September 2022 to March 2023 cruises and based on sole occupancy of specific grades of twin and double cabins.

                HOLLAND AMERICA LINE - CELEBRATING 150 YEARS
On 18th April 2023, Holland America Line celebrates 150 years, making HAL one of the world’s longest- operating travel companies.
Special events and activities to commemorate this milestone include two commemorative transatlantic crossings on 15th October 2022 and 4th April 2023,
which will feature experiences that weave the company’s history into menus, activities, entertainment, special guest speakers and more.
President, Gus Antorcha comments: “HAL has touched the lives of millions of people throughout the years - whether by bringing them to a new life in America or providing a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. We have some really special experiences planned over the forthcoming months to honour our heritage.”
15th October crossing, 15 nights: Rotterdam VII will depart Rotterdam exactly 150 years to the date of the Rotterdam I’s maiden voyage, which took place before the company was incorporated. The crossing will recreate HAL’s first sailing, visiting Plymouth and Le Havre (Paris) before crossing the Atlantic to New York for an overnight call; enroute to Fort Lauderdale.
4th April crossing, 16 nights: Departing Fort Lauderdale, Rotterdam heads to New York for an overnight call and will then spend eight leisurely days crossing the Atlantic, calling at Plymouth and Dover, before arriving 18th April, HAL’s 150th anniversary, in Rotterdam for an overnight of festivities.
