Meeting the Moment: Safeguarding Civil Rights in Extraordinary Times

It is difficult to think of a more critical juncture for reaffirming our schools’ commitment to providing equal opportunities and protecting students from racial and all other forms of discrimination. Allen will provide insights on Federal, State and local civil rights obligations, and how schools can address the variety of discrimination, harassment and equity challenges that we continue to wrestle with – remotely and in person. Allen will also highlight important developments from the Federal government, including recently issued Tile IX regulations and how best to navigate those OCR complaints when the agency comes
knocking on our doors. Please join us for a deep dive into these and other equity matters impacting New Hampshire schools, tips on facilitating positive learning environments in the coming year, and a discussion of diversity and inclusion issues on the horizon.
