The Entrance beach, lake, parkland, shopping and residential

districts all offer interesting walking options to explore new

surroundings, plan the day ahead or reflect on the day that just

passed.

Our waterfront is a spectacular setting along which to walk as the

sun rises. Watch the colours change from dark hues to welcome

the bright, new day over the still waters of the channel and the

breaking waves at The Entrance Beach.

Children’s laughter and lunchtime bustle fill the air in the middle

of the day, when a walk might heighten your appetite. Sunset is a
glorious time to enjoy The Entrance on foot as everything winds

down after a busy day and fades into the twilight.

Learn about The Entrance’s history and people who shaped our
town while strolling along The Heritage Walk (see pages 36-37).

Introduce your family and friends to the characters of our bygone

era and enjoy the historical photos of The Entrance. More than 70

photographic plaques are dotted through the town. Allow two

hours to complete this walking tour, at a relaxed pace.

Other popular walks include Memorial Park up the boardwalk

towards the beach, or the flat walkway around the lake edge to

Picnic Point. You might also like to stroll along the cycleway, walk
across the bridge to The Entrance North, or window shop in the

SHOP 7 > 35-37 CORAL ST
town centre.
