tftttttftfttfttttffftWelcome to a special edition of
Off Grid East Coast! Helping you on your
journey to sustainability
By Wendy Keats and Rayanne Brennan
One day a couple of weeks ago, the Off Grid East Coast team was sitting around planning our next edition of the magazine (due out on St. Patrick’s Day, a perfect date for a celebration of all things green!), when someone said, “Wouldn’t it be great to take some of the favorite stories and articles from the first two issues and produce a Special Edition for our readers
in February?” And voila!!! Here is a must-read collection of thoughtful, insightful pieces written by and for people living on the east coast who are walking the walk on their journeys towards sustainability.
First in Atlantic Canada
Off Grid East Coast is the first and only publication of its kind in Atlantic Canada and it is designed for renewable energy and sustainable living enthusiasts. However, you don’t have to live on solar power to appreciate this magazine. It isn’t just about unplugging from the public utility; it’s about all the things we can do – big and small - to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and contribute to a healthier planet. Off Grid East Coast shows, by the example of others, that we can be the change we want to see in the world!
Story ideas welcome
All the stories and articles in this magazine are written by volunteers and we have been absolutely overwhelmed by the high quality and professionalism of the submissions! We are always looking for new stories and writers so if you are doing something cool, or have information to share that other Off Grid East Coast readers could benefit from, feel free to drop us a line at info@cecnb.ca. We’re interested in basically anything green including:
• Solar electricity, wind, micro hydro, bio energy, and any other green technologies
• Both off-grid and net-metered systems
