By Favorite Cartel, Tell Cartel is produced from the winning Chicks Beduino mare Chicks Tell, a stakes winning dam of 28 winners and 30 ROM, including full siblings to Tell Cartel in stakes winner Chicks Fayvorite SI 102, My Favorite Cartel SI 106, and half-siblings Forrest Fire SI 102, and Tell Foose SI 104.
“His yearlings are clean-legged and very consistent,” said Ralph Fales. “They are very trainable, and they all have a quiet confidence about them and friendly attitudes, which is typically him (Tell Cartel). We got a lot of returning mares that had their babies last year and bred back to him this year. He had a real good season. We sent a lot of semen to a lot of different places around the country, and we got some good mares under him as well.”

Uncle D had an exceptional racing career and was named Champion Two Year Old and Champion Two-Year-Old Colt. As a juvenile,
he won four of six starts, including the Rainbow Futurity-G1, defeating DF Mischievous Jess, and Rocket Seis over 400 yards. He also annexed the All American Juvenile and was second in the Heritage Place Futurity-G1. In all, Uncle D won or placed in 9 of 10 starts and earned $689,165.
Uncle D out of stakes-winning First Down Dash mare Little Surfer SI 104, who also sent a New Track Record at Hialeah Park for 440-yards.
“It always appears when a stallion manager says that these horses are above the norm that they are trying to control the narrative, but I will tell you, these yearlings are above the norm, way above the norm,” said Lazy E Ranch’s Butch Wise. “And we’ll prove it at the horse sales.
“They are big, good-looking horses that look like Ruidoso-type horses, horses that want to go 400 yards or better. They look
like very appealing horses for what trainers look for in second-half-of-the-year horses. That’s not to pigeon-hole him. We don’t know enough about them at this point, but they are incredibly good individuals.”
