industry. After working for five years with this company and successfully scaling it to the owners’ satisfaction, Kennemer was ready for a challenge in a new industry and eagerly began an interview process that ultimately led him to accepting
the position as the Executive Director for the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association.
When asked about his new role, Kennemer responded, “The extensive and multifaceted responsibilities of this position are exciting and motivating. I know we have hard work ahead of us, but I also know that we have many opportunities ahead. The men and women of this association are hard-working people that live, breathe, and fully believe in what we are doing as an industry, and this motivates me each day to fulfill every aspect of this directorship to ensure our horsemen are represented and able to continue their work. This is a complex position, and I understand that I have big shoes to fill, and I intend to work hard to do so. Giving it my all is easy when I see that every single person in this association is doing the same, day after day. It’s exhilarating and refreshing, and I look forward to a long future serving the OQHRA and its members.”
Kennemer is married to Brianne, an Oklahoma native who works at the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. They live in Oklahoma City and are expecting their first child in August. He can be reached at 405- 216-0440 or kole.k@oqhra.com.
