Hubbards Contribute To University of NM Baseball Clubhouse
The hard work of many to make a University of New Mexico baseball clubhouse a reality
was realized when R.D. Hubbard donated the $500,000 lead gift for the new state-of-the-art R.D. and Joan Dale Hubbard Clubhouse during a Dec. 28 ceremony. The donation was one of many to the project, which includes a 6,000 square foot facility at an estimated cost of $2.3 million. The program has had success both on and off the field, with Lobo baseball posting a record 3.26 team GPA during the 2016 spring term.

RMTC Urges Adoption Of Out Of Competition & Multiple Medication Violation Rules
The Racing Medication and Testing Consortium (RTMC) urges racing authori-
ties to adopt the Out of Competition Testing
and Multiple Medication Violation (MMV)
rules approved by the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI). The Out
of Competition Testing rules adopted by the ARCI are largely based upon rules developed and proposed by the RTMC. Importantly, the new regulations go beyond blood doping to regulate a number of other substances. The MMV system was designed to be an enhanced penalty system applied above and beyond the penalty for a single medication violation for trainers who commit mul- tiple medication-related infractions. Highlights of the revision include: Increased discretion for stew- ards in determining the length of a suspension and an increasing penalty for therapeutic medication violations occurring within the same year.
