“He asked Jerry if he would hold the check for a week because he wanted to take him home to see if he rode. He wanted to make sure he was sound, and that he rode because he wanted to be able ride him.” -Lisa Fulton

he wanted to take him home to see if he rode. He wanted to make sure he was sound, and that he rode because he wanted to be able ride him.”
Lisa continued about the reaction to this request. “When I listen to Jerry’s side of the story when they loaded the horse on John’s trailer, which was a 40-foot pipe canvas topped trailer with calves in it. They used a piece of plywood to separate Streaker from the calves. Jerry’s wife gave him the biggest butt chewing after he loaded that nice horse on that pipe trailer with three cowboys and those calves. They arrived home about 2 am. It was late October.”
She recounted how Jerry Sipes must have trusted Brian and his friends. “That is how that all got started and I think about those three ole cowboys dickering on that stud. Jerry Sipes let them take him and he kept that check for a week. Brian called him said, ‘He rides good, you can go ahead and cash that check.’”

Lisa tells how the search did finally end with A Streak Of Fling, “We had a lead on
A Streak Of Fling in the fall of 2003. Brian was busy shipping cattle and calves, and he didn’t have time to look at this horse. So, I called Jim Bailey in Norman, Oklahoma, where the horse was and asked him to look at him and see if this horse was worthy of Brian coming down and looking at him. Jim did and he called Brian back and told him he was worthy of a look. Brian was still dragging his feet because he didn’t have time to go and that was the problem.”
Lisa was undeterred and got a couple of friends to help. “I got a hold of his classmate Billy Etbauer, they grew up together, and I told Billy, ‘I am going to buy Brian a one-
