Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity-G2

Dennis Jensen and Randy Young know how to pick out good racing prospects at a yearling sale. For two years running they
have selected fillies who have gone on to win the Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity-G2 at Los Alamitos. Fire Fast Honey gave them their first in 2021, and Valiantli scored in the 2022 edition on May 15.
A slight bobble at the start from the outside post put Valiantli and jockey Cruz Mendez
a tad behind the leaders at the break. But Valiantli quickly made up any disadvantage, soaring to the front to prove victorious by three- quarters of a length in :15.394 for 300 yards.
“She behaved so well,” said Mendez. “She stumbled a little bit leaving, but once she was up and running, she got a hold of the track and did things very easily. She finished very strong.”
Monty Arrossa trains Valiantli for Jensen and Young, just as he did Fire Fast Honey. He unveiled Valiantli in a maiden race at Los Alamitos on April 2, and she finished third to
