IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Annual EVA Booster Certificates for Active NM Stallions
The EVA Booster forms were mailed out October 1st, 2019, YOUR STALLION WILL BE MARKED INACTIVE if the Stallion
EVA Booster Certification is not received in the office by January 14th,2020. The fee to reactive any stallion is $200.00.
Change in Membership Requirements
To receive any incentive checks from the NMHBA, ALL owners of NM Bred horses placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd, must be a current member of the Association. If the owner of the horse is not a member within 90 days from the date of the race, the NMHBA Incentive will be forfeited for that race. All memberships expire December 31st and must be renewed. Please call the Association office at 505-262-0224, if you are unsure of the status of your membership.
Reminder
Don’t forget all foals age January 1st so get your NM Bred applica- tions in before the registration price goes up!
Weanlings: $60 • Yearlings: $150 • 2 Year old’s: $1,000 • 3 and up: $2,000
The NMHBA has three (3) separate components to the Bred registry: 1. NM Bred registration
2. NM Broodmare registration
3. NM Stallion registration
Keep in mind, just because a horse has NM Bred status, that indi-
vidual horse is not automatically placed in the Broodmare and Stallion registries. The Broodmare and Stallion registrations are separate from the Bred registration.
If you have a NM Bred QH which has been renamed or issued a new set of registration papers, you need to get the registration papers re-stamped. You can either mail them to the Office or hand carry the papers into the Office at: 4836 Hardware Dr. NE, Suite B, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
2020 Annual meeting & banquet update
This coming year the NMHBA Annual meeting will be held at a new location. Please join us Thursday, January 30th at the Ramada Pla- za located at 2020 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Check in time for active members will be 9:00 am and lunch will be provided. For discounted rooms please contact the hotel at (505) 884-2511 - Say you are coming for the New Mexico Horse Breeders Meeting on Thurs- day, Jan. 30, 2020.
Please note that this year we will NOT be doing our awards banquet the same evening. The NMHBA Awards Banquet will be held during Zia Festival weekend in Ruidoso, New Mexico. More details to follow.
