Litely Political was one of the best that was seen in 2018 at the Hipodromo de las Americas.
“He has received many acknowledgments throughout his career, but undoubtedly the most valuable have been from his family and
his children: Gabriela, Leon, José María, Ana Isabel, Felix, Juan, Pablo and Guillermo, who are grateful to have instilled in them values such as dedication to work and responsibility and affection for the horse, which are also instilled in his grandchildren,” said Dr. Daniel Hernández during the ceremony.
Outstanding and widely recognized was the performance of the gelding AS Macho, winner
of the Garañones Futurity and Desafío Crianza Mexicana Futurity, plus two second places in Mexico Futurity and Subasta Selecta Futurity, which are restricted to specimens auctioned at the Hipodromo de las Americas in 2017. This made him the highest earner in his first season. As a result, he earned the titles of AQHA Mexican Champion, Champion Mexican Two-Year-Old Gelding, Best Mexican Runner and Horse of the Year, and earning for his Cuadra Falcón the 2-horse trailer awarded by the AQHA to the Mexican run- ner with the highest earnings in each season.
AS Macho was presented and repurchased by his breeder Arturo A. Siller Berain at
the Selecta Auction of the Hipódromo de las Américas, and then sold to Luis Simoni, who entrusted him to the former rider and now trainer Ismael Parra Martínez, developing him to the level of competitiveness that is now rec- ognized under the silks of Cuadra Falcón.
He is by California Cartel and out of Check This Star Out, a producer that was designated Broodmare of the Year.
Ze Dancer Arandas wins the Mexican Stallion Derby under Jose Manuel Cisneros.

As for the individuals, we highlight
José Ravel Baltazar Aguilar, who this year monopolized the trophies as a Champion Trainer for Points and for Classics Won, while in 2017 he received the title for points. This was in no doubt due to the intense work of his team, with José Ravel at the front.
In the division of riders, the competition was intense. José Ángel Ambrosio Medina was named Champion for Classics Won, while Alejandro Gómez Díaz was named Champion Jockey by Points.
Litely Political was not only the Best Imported Adult, but also the basis for her Cuadra San Judas Tadeo in winning for the first time the Champion Cuadra for Classics. Something similar happened with Gulf Coast Streaker, who with his performances was named the Best American Three-Year- Old Colt and, incidentally, opened the way for his Cuadra Díaz de León to win the Championship by Points.
