 The $115,000 high seller was Hip #165 Jess So Sixy, a stakes winning 2007 sorrel mare in foal to Tempting Dash, consigned by Lazy E Ranch LLC, Agent for John Andreini, and purchased by Cavenaugh QH LLC.
The Jan. 18-19 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale in Oklahoma City, which took place over two days instead of three this year, was held after the American Quarter Horse Association crowned their 2018 Champions the evening before on Jan. 17.
The 40th annual event saw 207 less horses offered than last year, but 89% of the consigned horses sold with the average increasing 10% to $11,757 com- pared to $10,652 in 2018.
“Heritage Place wishes everyone good luck on their purchases and certainly a big thank you to our consignors for a quality offering for two days,” Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said to Stallionesearch.com after the sale.
The high-seller at $115,000 was Jess So Sixy si 101 (Mr Jess Perry-Oh So Sixy, Six Fortunes), a 2007 sorrel mare in foal consigned by Lazy E Ranch LLC, Agent for John Andreini, and purchased by Cavenaugh QH LLC. Jess So Sixy won the Anaheim Handicap and is a multiple stakes placed run-
ner. She is a sibling to multiple stakes winners, including Oh So Daunting ($335,973), and out of stakes winner Oh So Sixy, a sibling to multiple stakes winners. Jess So Sixy is the dam of two winners from three starters, includ- ing Time For Stoli si 94 ($36,794). The mare sold in foal to Champion/ Champion sire Tempting Dash.
The second-highest seller at $88,000 was Apollitical Effort (Apollitical Jess-Strawfly Sting, Strawfly Special), a 2018 sorrel colt consigned by Roger Daly, Agent for Ken Phillips, and purchased by Turner Farms. The yearling is a half-brother to stakes placed Sizzling Gold and to graded stakes placed runner Aberdonian, who sold on day one of the sale.
  The $88,000 second-highest seller was Hip #255 Apollitical Effort, a sorrel yearling colt consigned by Roger Daly, Agent for Ken Phillips, and purchased by Turner Farms.
