ZOOMIN EFFORTLESSLY

The win streak continues for Zoomin Effortlessly. The five-year-old bay geld-
ing logged his eighth consecutive victory and set a 440-yard track record in the $250,605 Remington Park Championship-G1 on June 4.
Trained by R.L. Robinson, Zoomin Effortlessly completed the prestigious stakes in :20.758, posting a career-best 112 speed index and breaking the 440-yard mark at Remington Park previously held by Priceless Feature, who ran the with a time of :20.981 in 2013.
Zoomin Effortlessly, whose current win streak began on May 14 of last year, produced a $150,000 payday in winning the Remington Park Invitational Championship for owner Telesforo Perrett. The victory increased the gelding’s cumulative earnings to the cusp of a half million at $490,131.
Zoomin Effortlesssly’s win streak now includes seven straight stakes wins, includ-
ing this year’s running of the Leo Stakes-G1. He also obtained victories in the 2016 Championship at Sunland Park-G1, and last year’s Refrigerator Handicap-G1, TQHA Classic Stakes-RG3, TQHA Sires’ Cup Stakes, and Live Oak Handicap.
By triumphing in the both Leo Stakes and in the Remington Park Invitational Championship, Zoomin Effortlessly matched
last year’s feats by Dashin Brown Streak, who won both those stakes and was part of the field in this year’s version of the event.
The even-money favorite, Zoomin Effortlessly broke well at the start. He had the lead at the first call and led at every subsequent call, making it to the wire first by a neck.
“That’s what I like about
Zoomin, he feels the pressure and he kicks into another gear,” jockey Santos Carrizales said
in a press release. “I don’t know where he gets that strength, he’s a little bitty, thin horse, but he has a big heart.”
Zoomin Effortlessly is the first stakes win- ner out of his dam, 100% winner/ROM pro- ducer Royal Quick Affair. The lightly-raced 2005 mare is owned by Pamela Stone. Tommy Charbula bred Zoomin Effortlessly, who was foaled in Texas.
The New Track Record set by Zoomin Effortlessly in the Remington Park Invitational Championship is not the only time he accomplished this feat. In 2015, the gelding
set a 400-yard New Track Record at Retama
Park, covering the distance in :19.493 while winning the TQHA Sires’ Cup Stakes. And in 2014, Zoomin Effortlesssly was named
the AQHA Texas Hi-Point Claiming Horse.
Moonin The Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Your First Moon), another multiple stakes winner, finished 1-length clear in second for owner Gregorio Garcia Garza and trainer
Rolando Almanza. Esgar Ramirez did the rid- ing. Houdini (Valiant Hero-Pure Oklahoma), the only horse in this field with at least $1 million in total earnings, placed third for owner Bruno Cerda. The Adrian Huitron trainee had Manuel Gutierrez up. Followed by TF Cajun Cartel (Corona Cartel-Dashadee), Bodacious Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Bodacious Dream), Dashin Brown Streak (Hotdoggin-Annas Streakin Dash), Dashin For A Prize (Heza
Fast Dash-Fast Prize Angie), JRC Callas First (Winners Award-Calla Missy Jane), Big Dashing Perry (Mr Jess Perry-Marcys Dashin Bye), Cobalt Creek (Walk Thru Fire-Checknbac), Rock You (Foose-Babe On The Fly) and Torts On Fire (Walk Thru Fire-Queen Of Torts).
