Cash in at the 2016 AjPHA Youth World Show Barrel Racing Sweepstakes

The Hopes & Dreams Speed Event Sweepstakes takes place July 2 at the Youth World Championship Show; the entire show runs June 27–July 9 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center
in Fort Worth, Texas. Included are two special sweepstakes—Youth barrel racing and pole bending—that are open to registered Paints and Appaloosas. Both featured added money and great prizes, and Ram PBRIP-enrolled Paints have a shot at an additional $1,000 sidepot in the Youth Hopes & Dreams Barrel Racing Sweepstakes, thanks to Ram Trucks.
The Youth World Show has nearly 100 classes for young Paint Horse enthusiasts, including championship events in barrel racing, pole bending, stake race and more. New for 2016 are Youth Solid Paint-Bred barrel racing and pole bending world championship events. Top speed, roping and ranch riding exhibitors contend for the Power Performance High-Point award and other top titles, which includes a shot at winning an Elite Custom Saddles trophy saddle.
The AjPHA Youth World Show is open to
all registered Paints and Youth exhibitors—no qualifying required. Entries are accepted until 5 p.m. the day before the competition, but enter by May 15 for the best rates! Burning up the Barrels
Paint Horses are leaving their mark at major barrel races around the country.
Carol Waters of Red Rock, Oklahoma,
and Speedin For Cash, her homebred 2012 sorrel tobiano mare by Got Caught Speedin (QH) and out of Cash Sign, have earned more than $22,000 since their debut at the Barrel Futurities of America World Championship in December. Carol and Speedin For Cash finished third in the Diamonds & Dirt Barrel Horse Classic, won the PBRIP side pot at the LG Pro Classic and placed in the average, and most recently they finished fourth in the Panty Raid Futurity second go and fourth in the average.
Morgan Breaux and SS Streakers R Us, her 2002 brown solid gelding by Scenics Symbol and out of The Sixth Sense (QH), have been on fire this spring. Finishing in the money at rodeos from Texas to California, the second-year WPRA cowgirl and “Streaker” have solidified their partnership and are making a statement. As of April 18, Morgan sits in the Top 20 of the WPRA standings with $22,394.84 in earnings to date. They won the Oakdale rodeo, tied for second at RodeoAustin and Marshall, and netted solid wins and more than $7,000 at the San Antonio stock show.
