 Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Trials
  Wired For Sound (#7) was moved to 1st after the DQ of RP Live Wire Dash (#3), taking the 4th qualifying spot. Gogo Maserati (#1) took 2nd to qualify 8th and Tres Miracles (#4) finished 3rd for the final qualifying position.
Live Moonshine (#6) scored a 1 1/2-length win for the fastest qualifying spot.
Lota White Sox was up for 2nd to qualify 2nd fastest; Admiral Tom was 3rd for the 3rd qualifying position; Baileys And Rum was 4th for the 5th spot, Cap Attack was 5th for the 6th spot, Hotwired Daddy was 6th and qualified 7th, and
RP Livewire Papasbaby was 7th and took the 9th qualifying position.

Crowned Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown High-Point Champion
Admiral Tom was crowned the 2018 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa High-Point Champion on Oct. 27 following a fourth place finish after being bumped at the start in the third leg of the Speedhorse Triple Crown – The $57,800 Speedhorse Lone Star Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1.
Admiral Tom finished second, 1 1/4-lengths behind Memories Of Lil Hero, after also being bumped in the $254,300 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 – the first leg – at Remington Park on June 2. Admiral Tom then finished second, a neck behind RP Live Wire Dash, in the $98,200 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 – the second leg – at Tulsa Fair Meadows on July 28.
Admiral Tom ApHC (Red Storm Cat QH–Eyesa Knockout, Mr Eye Opener QH) was ridden by G.R. Carter Jr. in the first leg of the Triple Crown at Remington Park, Eugenio Navarrete Jr. in the second leg at Tulsa Fair Meadows and by Agustin Silva in the final leg at Lone Star Park. The two-year-old chestnut Appaloosa gelding was bred and is owned by Gary Vaughan, who received a trophy and belt buckle as well as an additional $5,000 High-Point Champion bonus from Speedhorse Magazine. Admiral Tom was trained by Luis Villafranco in all three of his Triple Crown races.
Admiral Tom scored a total of 25 points to take the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa High-Point Champion title, in which eligible horses must enter and be paid in full in all three races, must enter the trials of all three races, and must compete in two of the three trials.
