Everyone is really happy with their size. They have a lot of bone. So far, everyone has been super pleased. The main thing I see and hear is that he is putting size on the babies.”
With a large number of yearlings by Kiss My Hocks bound for the upcoming sales, Graham is confident the market will be receptive. “I think people are excited to see them, and I think they are going to do pretty good,” he said. “People are excited to get their hands on them and buy them. I think they are going to be fast-maturing babies. There’s going to be a lot of them that will be held onto for the later Ruidoso races because they are out of those types of mares and raised by those kinds of breeders. They look big and stretchy enough to run to the other end of the racetrack, and we hope they do.”

the All American Futurity-G1 and Heritage Place Futurity-G1. At three, he won the A Ransom Handicap, and at four, he was 3rd in the Leo Stakes-G1. He retired with 5 wins and 5 placings from 15 starts with earnings of $427,579. He is out of the winning Shazoom mare Signs Zoomer and is a full brother to 2017 Champion Aged Stallion The Fiscal Cliff.
“Both One Valiant Hero and Wagon Tales have yearlings accepted to the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale this year, and that is a significant level of acceptance,” said Lazy E Ranch’s Butch Wise. “Conformationally, both stallions are siring individuals with a lot of class and are extremely correct. I think a fair assessment is to say that they are both stallions that are dominating the mares to which they were bred. Their yearlings take more conformationally from their sires than their dams.
“One Valiant Hero and Wagon Tales have surprised us in one respect, as they are both siring more height than perhaps we expected,” Wise added. “We are excited to present the offspring of both stallions to the buying public this year and we look forward to seeing them at the tracks in 2019.”
The following stallions also have their first crop of yearlings in 2018. We did our best to include all stallions, but please let us know if you do not see yours on this list.
