Preliminary results for the 2016 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale, which was held Nov. 4-5 in Oklahoma City, showed a slight decrease in sale aver- age to $9,029 and a $5,550 median compared to last year, excluding the his- torical $1 million Vessels Stallion Farm dispersal in 2015. Of the 554 horses offered, 437 were reported sold, and gross receipts reached $4,393,550.
“We sold 88% of the horses offered, almost as close of a duplication of last year as you could get,” stated Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney, according to stallionesearch.
The highest seller at $67,000 was Hip #560 Our Genuine Delight (Dash Ta Fame-Fortune Of Delight, Six Fortunes), a 2009 mare consigned by Eaves Horses, FLP, Roger Daly, Agent and purchased by McColee Land & Livestock. Our Genuine Delight is a 2-time winner and her first foal
is a 2016 two-year-old winner. The mare, who is out of a Broodmare of
the Year, is a half-sister to Champions A Delightful Dasher and Hes My Dasher as well as to the dam of Champion Inseperable. The second-highest seller at $48,000 was Hip #216 Feature Mr Bojangles (Feature Mr Jess- Catch This Dash, First Down Dash), consigned by Lazy E Ranch, Agent and purchased by Jumonville Farms. The 2009 sorrel stallion is a 2-time Champion as well as a stakes sire from his first crop to race.
