There are some changes to the 2012 Stakes Nomination and payment schedule. Be sure to note the earlier stakes nominations and payment dates. Final dates of stake races are pending approval from Indiana Downs Track Management. Final dates and nomination forms will be published on qhrai.net, in Horse Resource and Speed Horse Magazine as soon as they are finalized. QHRAI will also be mailing this information directly to you. Open 4 yr olds and up; 350 yards Nomination due date - March 15th; $250 Sustaining Payment due date - April 15th; $750 Highest 2011 - 2012 Earnings preferred Finals: May 19th

Indiana Bred 2 yr olds; 300 yards Nomination due date - April 1st; $100 Sustaining Payment due date - May 1st; $300 Trials: June 8th

***The Late payment for open stakes - Double nomination plus first sustaining payment. After first sustaining payment date of May 1st, late payment is double nomination and missed payment plus June 1st payment PLUS $5,000 (for Heartland and Live.) Must be postmarked by June 1st, 2012.
Late Payment for Indiana Bred Stakes - Double Nomination plus sustaining payment; late payment must be postmarked by sustaining payment date. Entry into Stake Trials and Races must be made at Indiana Downs Racing Office.
