Dan Fick learned about customer service early in life, when he and some college buddies
operated a restaurant in Colorado for several years.
“You have to communicate with your customers,” said Fick, something restaurant owners must master or find themselves quickly out of business.
Fick took those lessons seriously
as he progressed through a career
that has encompassed nearly every facet of horse racing. He honed his people skills through 21 years as first the assistant director and then the executive director of racing at the American Quarter Horse Association. Today he applies his talents success- fully as the director of racing and racing secretary at Remington Park in Oklahoma City.
