Sale was held Sept. 2-4 during All American weekend. Preliminary results show a decrease compared to the 2015 sale. The sale average on horses sold, without repurchases, was $35,968 for 334 horses sold compared to $41,812 last year on 351 horses.
A total of 19 yearlings sold for $100,000 or more, including $300,000 high seller Hip #246 Eye Am King (Mr Jess Perry-Eye For Corona, Corona Cartel). Consigned by MJ Farms, Agent, and purchased by HWD Racing, the sorrel colt is a full brother to stakes winner
Dr Jess. The colt is by Champion, World Champion sire Mr Jess Perry and is out of Golden State Million Futurity-G1 winner Eye For Corona.
The second-highest seller at $210,000 was Hip #255 One Mighty Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Kates Dynasty, FDD Dynasty). Consigned by Julianna Hawn Holt and pur- chased by Shirley Richardson, the sorrel colt is by Champion, World Champion sire One Famous Eagle and is the first foal out of 2013 Champion Kates Dynasty
