Held Sept. 22-24 in Oklahoma City, prelimi- nary results for the 38th annual Heritage Place Yearling Sale show a slight decline in the gross sale & averages when compared to the 2015 session. Of the 790 horses offered, 85% of them were sold.
“We had a great finish to the sale today,” Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said, according to Stallionesearch. “The third day average increased 3% over last year’s third day average. All things considered, we are pleased with the final results of the sale. We wish every- one much success and look forward to a great Fall Mixed sale the first weekend of November.”
The highest seller at $200,000 was Hip #761 Apollitical Seis (Apollitical Jess-Senorita Tres, Tres Seis), consigned by Walter R. Harrison, JEH Stallion Station, Agent and pur- chased by William E. Smith. The gray colt is full brother to stakes winners Politicaly Correct and Brookestone Grey, and is out of 11-time stakes winner/Ntr setter Senorita Tres.
The second-highest seller at $100,000 was Hip #409 Ride The Tiger (Mr Jess Perry-Ride My Wagon, PYC Paint Your Wagon) consigned by Michael A. Pohl, Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent. The brown colt is a first foal out of Grade 3 winner Ride My Wagon.
