Lone Star Park Training Hours Modified
Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie has modified its training schedule hours, as of Sept. 16. The new hours are 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with a break at 8:30 a.m.

2016 APHA World Show Update
It’s not too late to get your entries in for the 2016 APHA World Show, which takes place Nov. 2–12 in Fort Worth, Texas. Late entries
are accepted until 5 p.m. the day before the
class takes place, and we’ve got tons of exciting opportunities for barrel racers, including world championship speed classes in a variety of divisions, Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program sweepstakes classes, the new “PBRIP World’s Fastest” award and much more. Make plans to attend this year’s fun-filled event by first checking

Points Pre-Check
Double check your Paint racehorse’s record in anticipation of 2016 year-end awards. Make sure all races and results are correctly recorded on your horse’s record—check them online at equibase.com (look up by your horse’s name). Report any errors to APHA Director of Racing Karen Utecht at racing@ apha.com or 817-222-6444.
Paint Racing Participation Fee

Paint Barrel Racers Turn And Burn To The Pay Window
Paint barrel horses have been showing off their cloverleaf prowess, earning checks at major rodeos throughout the United States and Canada. Brittney Barnett and Chicks Keen O Pocopoo cruised to victory with a 16.02-second run at the Santa Barbara Old Spanish Days Stock Horse Show & Rodeo Aug. 5–7 in Santa Barbara, California, earning more than $1,600.
Brittney and the 2007 sorrel overo mare by Mr Dominator and out of Stylish Chick Olena (QH) followed up their win in Santa Barbara with a second-place finish at the Tehachapi Mountain PRCA Rodeo Aug. 19–20 in Tehachapi, California. Running a 17.67-second pattern, the duo earned a check for more than $1,000.
At the North Peace Stampede Aug. 6–7 in Grimshaw, Alberta, Canada, Brook Robertson piloted Add A First to earn more than $1,000. The 2008 sorrel solid Paint-bred mare by Perfect Possibility (QH) and out of See No Patch clocked a 17.52-second run for Brook.
