This event only had six participating two year olds born in Mexico, running for 165,000 pesos (approximately US $9,856) at 330 yards. The race was in honor of Don Cesar Pedrero Anaya, one of the main drivers of Quarter Horses racing in Mexico.
Upon leaving the gates, the filly BR Jessa Heza shifted to the inside of the track and hit the colt Quick 21, but the colt overcame the incident and escaped, leaving the filly behind. From that point, a nice threesome was led by Quick 21, closely followed by La Patrona By Flowing and ELC Mayo Shake, who made a spectacular close running a nose behind the winner.
Quick 21 completed the race in first place with a time of 17.15 seconds supported by Jose Angel Ambrosio Medina. This was the colt’s fourth start and first win in his still brief career. He was bred in Mexico by Elias-Ortiz Anwar, is owned by Rancho La Joya Grande, and is trained by Jesus Gonzalez Casillas. He is a son of the stallion Rabbits Rainbow and is out of the mare Quick Dunit by Dunit Runnin.
The prize that he earned for his success was 99,000 pesos (US $5,914). Previously, the win- ners of this classic were the colt Sadies Legacy (Harems Legacy - Bibbiana Sadie) in 2014 and the filly Swilken Dancer (Sambaso Dancer - Swilken Burn) in 2013.
ELC Mayo Shake (Mayo First - Chile Shake) made a valiant effort with his rider Miguel Angel Nolasco, taking second place in favor of Cuadra El Cuartel and trainer Alfredo Martinez Mora.
Third place went to La Patrona By Flowing (Flowing With Cash - Rock N Roses), assisted by Martin Hernandez Bautista for the benefit of Cuadra Serpino and trainer Rafael Rizo Ojeda.
Other runners: Nativo Horse (Sea Horse Corona – Keosnative TB), L Beach (Lavishing Chick – Huntington Beach), and BR Jessa Heza (Hezaspicymeatzaballa – Jessaspecialeffort)

Breve el reporte de esta carrera como lo fue su nómina de solo seis participantes de dos años nacidos en México, que optaron por su primera victoria en la cual se disputaron 165,000 pesos ($9,856 US aproximadamente) en 330 yardas. La carrera fue en honor a Don César Pedrero Anaya, uno de los principales impulsores del caballo cuarto de milla en México.
Al partir, la potranca BR Jessa Heza (3) se desvió hacia el lado interior de la pista e impactó al potro Quick 21 (2), pero este salió airoso
del incidente y se escapó, dejando atrás a la potranca. Desde ese punto
se formó una bonita tercia
encabezada por Quick 21,
acompañado de cerca por La
Patrona By Flowing (1) y ELC
Mayo Shake (4) que hizo un
espectacular cierre, quedando
a nariz del ganador.
Quick 21 culminó la
carrera en primer lugar con
tiempo de 17.15 segundos (SI
69), apoyado por José Ángel
Ambrosio Medina, siendo
esta su cuarta salida y primer
triunfo en su aún breve
trayectoria. Fue criado en México por Elías - Ortiz Anwar, y es propiedad de Rancho La Joya Grande, siendo su entrenador Jesús González Casillas. Es hijo del semental Rabbits Rainbow en la yegua Quick Dunit, por Dunit Runnin.
El premio que le correspondió por su triunfo fue de 99,000 pesos ($5,914 US).
