                                   A Lifetime of Service
An AQHA member since 1958, Tom Bradbury now holds the title of Director Emeritus and received his 50- year Breeder Award in 2015 along with a 25-year Breeder Award partnered with his daughter, Lisa. He was also inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame in 2015.
Tom has served in many capacities in a wide variety of organizations, including:
• National Western Stock Show — Director for decades,
currently serving on the executive board and involved in the classification, feed yard/show, junior show, the judges’ committees, and the Catch-A-Calf program.
• Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association — Since 1959. Past President and honorary Vice-President, an active participant, and inducted into the RMQH Hall of Fame in 2011, the same weekend I Like the Odds won the $2 Million Futurity.
• Colorado Horseman’s Association – Served on the board from 1990–1995 and was instrumental in passing legislation to restore Class A horse racing to Colorado in 1990.
• AmericanHerefordAssociation–Presidentintheearly1990s.
• American Angus Association
• American Red Angus Association
• National Cattlemen’s Association
• Colorado Livestock Association – Traveled internationally to visit farms and ranches in New Zealand, Australia, Brazil and China.
• CSUAlumniBoard(andpassionateCSUfan)— Involved w/1870 Club, Beef Club, Ram’s Club, Campaign Leadership Council, and Alumni Association Board.
• CSU Livestock Leader of the Year in 2005.
• Colorado Agriculture Hall of Fame — Inducted Nov.
19, 2015.
• Byers, Colorado School Board
• Byers Fire District
• Byers Recreation District Board
• Park Meadows Road District Board
• Bijou Telephone Company — Helped establish, served
as President for 20 years, and remains an active Director.
• 4-H other agricultural youth groups — Leader, advisor
and sponsor in many cattle and horse activities. Tom and his wife, Margaret, have sponsored many scholarships yearly both at the high school and college levels, including two Legacy scholarships to support a football player and a girl’s basketball player, and a contribution in memory
of his oldest daughter, Pamela Bradbury Jones, for a new locker room at Colorado State University.
Bradbury, 79, continues to buy and breed for success, owning syndicated shares in Wave Carver, First Down Dash and Teller Cartel, having ownership in 14 broodmares and in 23 horses in training at Ruidoso Downs, Los Alamitos Race Course, Arapahoe Park and Remington Park.
